Alexandra Kramerova – performing artist and choreographer

Sandra Kramerova graduated from University of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia, with a concentration in choreography and dance. Her experience in Israeli dance culture while working closely with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company strongly influenced her as a dancer and artist. Sandra’s dance journey continued in New York: from Peridance Certificate Program to dancing, choreographing and teaching at Overground Physical Theater Company.

 

 

 

Blair Hotchner – coordinating director and stage manager

Blair received a B.A. in dance and psychology from Hofstra University. She is an international certified yoga teacher. She is also an accomplished dancer and stage manager whose credits include Sydnie L. Mosley Dances, Dance into Light, Frog and Peach Theatre Company, Keigwin and Company, Amy Marshall Dance, Robin Becker Dance, Karla Wolfangle, Lance Westergard, Sal LaRussa Dance Theatre, Makida Thomas and Giada Ferrone. Blair is a member of the production teams of the musicals Between the Bricks and Geeked and Loaded. She has been part of Overground Arts Alliance since 2007. Her pride and joy is being the co-founder of The Rogue Dancers, a modern dance collective.

Coming from a musical theatre background, Cecilia performed in A Stoop on Orchard Street, Fiddler on the Roof, and Godspell. She has also performed and choreographed at the Merce Cunningham theatre and BAX. Cecilia is so grateful to be doing her fifth show with Antonia. The process at Overground Company has been an amazing and eye-opening experience for her! She would like to thank her family and friends, but most of all her love Ian.

Gessica is artistic director and choreographer of Codice Rosso, a contemporary dance company based in NYC. She has presented work and danced in Spain, Italy, Germany and the United States. She studied and performed with Opus Ballett Dance Company from Florence and Yameli Rivas Dance Company in Spain. Gessica holds a Professional Certificate from the Superior Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. She came to New York to study with the Martha Graham School and Limon Institute. Upon graduating Limon Institute, she created her original release- and impulse-based, “action-reaction” style. Gessica is currently a member of Overground Physical Theatre and Urban Wash Dance Company, where she continues to build on her unique choreographic style. Her latest choreography uses contemporary dance and European theatre-dance in an intercultural manner.

Valentina Priolo – performing artist and choreographer

Valentina is from Sicily, Italy. She is a choreographer, dancer and musician. She began a Degree Certification in Choreography and Interpretation Techniques at the ” Escola Superior Institut del Teatre”, Barcelona. She is an international artist and has worked and collaborated with different known companies in Spain and Italy like Maria Teresa de Sanctis, Gruppo Teatro Totem, Paola Cassara’, Lollo Franco and Mizar Martinez Dance Company. She is actually studying at Limon Institute and focusing to create in her choreographies a new language  of movement  using her theatrical dance background from Europe and Limon technique approach. She has a new fresh vision of modern dance  and her work reflects  the intimate relationships of family, friends and society. She is currently a member of Urban Wash Dance Company.

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Danielle Schlauderaff moved to New York to attend Fordham University and the Alvin Ailey Professional Division. Before graduating she was honored to perform in the 2011 Spring Gala at the Apollo Theater. Danielle has toured with internationally recognized hip hop and pop artist Kid Akimbo, as well as performed with AUC contemporary dance and in various industrials. She has also performed works by Scott Rink, Alonzo King, Francesca Harper, Gregory Dolbashian, Earl Mosley, Darrell Moultrie, Desmond Richardson, and Dwight Rhoden among others. Currently, Danielle is a member of Treeline Dance Works and Synthesis Aesthetics Project. She joined Overground Physical Theater Company in 2011.

Hara Zi-Radopoulou – performing artist and choreographer

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Hara began to study Chemical Engineering but was soon captivated by dance and ultimately graduated from the Professional Dance School “Anna Petrova” in Athens. After dancing and teaching in Greece she was awarded the Alexander Onassis Public Benefit Foundation Scholarship in 2010 and came to New York to pursue her studies at the Jose Limon Institute. In 2011 she continued her dance training and movement research in New York as a scholar of Attica Tradition Educational Foundation and joined her new artistic family Overground Physical Theatre Company.

Motoko Tadano – performing artist and repertory assistant

Motoko was born in Japan and started her dance training in ballet at the Michiko Nomura Ballet Academy in Tokyo. She has worked as a lead dancer and soloist for the Ballet Academy. Motoko has performed for numerous dance festivals all over Japan. She has completed the trainee program of Martha Graham School for Dance in New York and has frequently performed in showcases and international dance festivals. Motoko is expanding her knowledge and skills by working with choreographers of various styles, for instance Oriental Fusion Dance Performance with Diva – JPN, Hip-Hop Performance for the NYC local TVshow and, most recently, Overground Company. She has performed as a lead dancer in Overground Physical Theatre Company, which she joined in 2006.

Siras Nitithatsanakul – performing artist and choreographer

Siras holds a B.F.A. in dance performance with First Class Honors from Chulalongkorn University and in 2004 received a scholarship from Dance New Amsterdam School in New York. She has performed and toured for numerous choreographers all over Thailand and America. Her experience includes performing, choreographing, teaching as well as directing a performance for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. She is currently a head of performing art division for Thai Artists Alliance (TAA) in New York. Siras joined Overground Physical Theatre Company in 2010 and is excited to perform with this inspiring multicultural company. Siras is also part of Overground Arts Alliance cross-cultural educational initiative and facilitates the artistic program development process by promoting Overground’s mission in Thailand and throughout Asia.

Xana Villan Rueda – performing artist, choreographer and vocalist

XStudies dance and music from an early age in Geneva, Switzerland. Later in England and Spain furthers her studies in drama and contemporary dance as well as modern and world music, jazz and flamenco.
Based in New York City since 2010 she works for dance-theatre companies and continues to hone her musical skills as well as collaborating with projects in the fields of fashion, photography, film, dance scoring and choreography.

 

 

 

 

Richard

 

Richard Scandola – performing artist and choreographer

Richard became a dancer and ventured into the art of dance at the age of 18, after realizing that sciences were not his path in life. He soon began to dance for dance companies in southern France, his birthplace, such as Les Ballets des Alpes Maritimes, Horizons and Corps Accord. Every dance company owned a particular style: neo-classical, contemporary-jazz, modern-jazz. He also worked in a musical comedy in a cabaret, Swinging Fantasy. Since moving to New York, 3 years ago, he has attended several different dance programs including Cunningham’s summer intensive, and Limon’s PSP programs, where he discovered a special affinity with this technique and met Jim May who became his mentor. He was soon selected as a dancer of Anna Sokolow Dance Ensemble.  Richard continues to hone his dance craft in the city, while teaching, studying and performing for local dance companies. His professional experience extends through illustrious New York based dance companies, such as Barkin/Selissen Project, Brice Mousset, HT Chen Dance and Dancers, Shadow Box Theatre as dancer and puppeteer.

 

 

 

KatarinaZak

 

Katarina Zak – performing artist and choreographer

Katarina Zak graduated from Musical High-school in Sweden, where she obtained her academic dance and musical training. After touring Sweden with her work, she gained recognition as a dance iconoclast who forged new horizons in Swedish musical dance industry. She was then employed in the Parisian cabaret “La Belle Epoque”. After Katarina studies contemporary dance techniques and deepens her knowledge in cutting edge theatre and performance art in NY premier dance – Broadway Dance Center, Dance New Amsterdam, Ballet Arts and Peridance Capezio Center. In New York she joins Overground Physical Theatre and performs in illustrious NY dance and theatre venues such as, New York Live Arts, BAM Fisher, City Center, Connecticut College, Dance Department, Manhattan Arts and Movement Center, Danspace St. Mark’s Church and Alvin Ailey Theater, to mention but a few. She also collaborates with and performs for other renowned NY based choreographers like Daniel Ryan Beck & Manuel Vignoulle. Katarina recently obtained her Pilates certification and is dedicated to yoga.

Tsveta Dimova – performing artist and choreographer

Tsveta Dimova, born and raised in Bulgaria, is an internationally acclaimed dance choreographer, performer and actress, who has traveled worldwide presenting her unique dance style and sharing her knowledge. She was trained in a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Ballroom Dances, Jazz, Acrobatic Rock and Roll, Bulgarian Folk Dances, Samba, Contemporary and Afro-Cuban Dance. Tsveta holds a MA in Bulgarian and Slavic Languages and Literature. She completes her acting training at Stella Adler Studio of Acting New York. Tsveta is a full member if the Bulgarian Professional Dance Association BPDA. In New York, she choreographs for WhiteListed Theater Company, she is also a member and mentor at Mythic Bridge, a non-profit organization that provides film making education to at-risk youth. Tsveta is a part of Overground Arts alliance in New York and co founder of iDare Film Production Company also based in New York.
