Philosophy:

The Overground Cross-Cultural Hub is an academic platform for exploring cultural diversity by sharing published cultural anthropology articles and performance arts research. By researching into common roots of indigenous traditions through a contemporary lens, and examining the role of art in the context of dissolving cultural forms, the platform fosters the creation of cross-cultural artistic and scientific projects that reinterpret sacred ritual and traditional heritage as a tool for innovation and growth.

Impact:

Overground has launched numerous cross-cultural projects on an international scale, and continues to think globally by organizing interfaith, cross-cultural and multidisciplinary events, forums and seminars advocating the need to shift from Identity Culturalism to Adaptive Multi-Culturalism – an educational strategy that enhances everyone’s capacity to adapt by offering exposure to a variety of traditions. Implemented Overground projects advocate cultural polyphony and inspire participants to think both locally and globally, ecologically and multi-culturally. They portray the world as an expanded family carrying a grand synthesis into a fragmented world- a cultural atlas that is rewoven by our willingness to participate in the process of recognizing seeming polarities as a larger unity.
